The Vasanti are a bird-like mount race found within Yoryyntel. They are omnivorous, but they tend to focus more on a carnivorous diet. They are large in size, and far pass the height of most humans. They tend to mate for life, finding a partner and sticking to one. If their partner dies or becomes ill, the other will try to save it. Mating grounds are usually near Gominelario, the patron tree for the Morzenan tribe. The smell emitted from the flowers atop the tree attract the species, which results in the rituals the species commit. In time of failure, the Vasanti will mourn it's loved one for up to three years. They are rather intelligent creatures, able to understand commands and almost the tongue of the more humanoid races. Their feathers are appear smooth, but if you were to rub your hand down them, they come off as coarse. This prevents dirt and mud from being stuck and deep in their feathers, keeping their coat looking clean and pristine. Male Vasanti are usually bulkier with slightly slimmer wings. The headfeathers are longer and full. Their feet are a bit stronger, able to withstand more weight. The ends of their longer tails are longer and very similar to the head feathers, usually of the same colour. The Vasanti are unable to fly, but with the use of their wings they can glide for long distances, and slow down a falling speed with great strength. Eyesight isn't too terrible, but it is at it's peak while the moon is out. Their eyes have two lids, the main one which is the one seen, and a second that almost acts like a thin film to keep dirt from getting in their eyes during travel.

They are quite attentive, and learn fast. Teaching them simple commands comes easy, and they're friendly once tamed. Male Vasanti are usually vibrant in colour, using their saturated tones to impress females during mating season. Females tend to be toned down, borderline neutral tones. It is not uncommon though to find them as bright and saturated as their male counterpart.

Their colours are based on EXISTING tropical birds. If you are unsure if you're allowed to use a specific bird for it's colouring, COMMENT BELOW ASKING.

Though it is rare, it is not uncommon to find a Vasanti with the colours of a more neutral bird with greys and browns. They are found mainly within the aspect of tropical birds, but all species are available for creation, but make sure you ask! Features such as the size of their beak, wings, tails or headfeathers may also change depending on the bird you choose.

The Vasanti are mainly found in the southern region of Yoryyn, barely straying from their natural habitat. It's uncommon to find them in the northern area, and even more rare to see them in Guarmi. Their main environment are the wooded lands surrounding Morzenan, nesting within strong trees and or on the ground.

The Vasanti are quite emotive, and their emotions are easily distinguishable. Whether it may be sad, happy, annoyed or indifferent, you can probably tell. They can be very aggressive, but also quite welcoming. Due to their "mating for life" attribute, they are very loyal when it comes to their master/owner. They look for strong personalities, or those with similar ones to their own. They get jealous easily, and are easily upset. Neglecting a Vasanti could result in the plucking of feathers and or a depressive state which may lead to fatigue, or even death.

Baby Vasanti hatch usually with one or two in a family. It's rare to get two successful eggs, and it takes up them up to 6 months to becomes fledglings. Members cannot own baby Vasanti.

They come in a variety of colours, usually focusing on tropical and colourful birds. As babies, their colours are toned down regardless of sex, and as they grow older, they molt their baby feathers, gaining their adult ones. They cannot crossbreed colours. It’s one or the other when it comes to the colour of the parent.
